PERFORMANCE SUMMARY: Works to promote vision and values by supporting the supervisor in the assigned area.

PERFORMANCE ROLES:

• Safety role – Compliance and participation in safety related programs and initiatives
• Quality role – Assure quality compliance for all areas of responsibility
• Customer Service role – Understands customer requirements.  Ensures that the needs of external and internal customers are met on time and accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Preparing and issuing purchase orders/STO’s (Valve Component focus)

• Capital project support
• Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.
• Reviewing past-due items, expedite with suppliers, and escalate critical valve component shortages impacting production or customer orders.
• Monitor requisitions and orders to prevent duplicate purchases, verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
• Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
• Compare prices, specifications and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
• Maintain SAP pricing per supplier and product
• Negotiate prices/services for product and freight
• Reconcile/review supplier PO acknowledgements
• Invoice / pricing discrepancy resolution (MRBR & GRIR)
• Track the status of contracts and orders
• Calculate costs of orders and charge invoices to appropriate accounts
• Log freight forwarder invoices on Imported Freight Cost spreadsheet
• Log airfreight costs on airfreight spreadsheet
• Log Mount Success discounts for WHQ on International Shipment Log
• Process subcontracted parts (send out for additional work)
• Meet with current and potential suppliers
• Complete new supplier set up forms
• Handle purchased product returns to vendors
• Sell scrap
• Help Procurement Coordinator with miscellaneous projects
• Primary point of contact for Plant 28 Valve Component purchases

• Other duties as assigned.
