Foundry - Blytheville 1

POSITION INFO:

Foundry Operator:  Works to promote vision and values by operating equipment and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

PERFORMANCE ROLES: 

• Safety role – Compliance and participation in safety related programs and initiatives
• Quality role –  Assure quality compliance for all areas of responsibility
• Customer Service role – Understands customer requirements.  Ensures that the needs of external and internal customers are met on time and accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Required to set up and operate equipment in the foundry as assigned by the supervisor.
• Required to complete safety audits and inspections of assigned area.
• Coordinate with maintenance in trouble shooting and analyzing problems on assigned equipment.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order prior to operation.
• Responsible for the quality of product and will take necessary action to correct any problems that affect quality and reduce scrap.
• Train new associates regarding the proper use and operation of equipment.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior experience working in a foundry environment is not required, but is a plus.

EDUCATION:

HIgh school diploma required.
