POSITION INFO:

This position is a hybrid arrangement and will be able to work from home 2 days a week and 3 days at WHQ office in Elkhart, IN. Responsible for preparing and analyzing demand and forecast data for NIBCO’s Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) customers and collaborates with the VMI Coordinators to maintain an appropriate balance of inventory, service levels, and costs. This position is also responsible for the preparation of various NIBCO inventory and demand analysis and support of NIBCO Monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Meetings.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Utilize SAP/APO Demand Planning software to generate forecast for VMI Customers
•    Incorporate resulting forecasts into the zone setting process for VMI Customers
•    Communicate monthly forecast data to VMI Coordinators and work with VMI Coordinators to ensure the appropriate balance of service levels and inventory are maintained.
•    Analyze monthly demand patterns, trends, and other business information in the development of monthly demand forecasts.
•    Prepare reports/presentations for monthly S&OP Meetings.
•    Participate in monthly S&OP Meetings
•    Provide service level exception reporting
•    Perform various demand analysis for key customers and/or product families.
•    Assist Manager of Demand Planning in further demand planning projects
•    Utilize SAP and BW to perform various data analysis.
 

EXPERIENCE:

SAP and BW knowledge and experience required.
 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in business, information technology, mathematics, or related field.
 

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Detail oriented with strong problem solving, analytical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.   General understanding of factors influencing demand and supply planning required.  APICS/ASCM knowledge preferred.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
