POSITION INFO:

This role is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources facility operations functions of the organization and company-wide initiatives. Leading a Human Resources team focused on NIBCO’s positive and engaging workplace culture, you will act as a strategic partner to plant management and the senior leadership team, providing expert guidance on organizational development, change management, talent management and workforce planning. This pivotal role will translate complex business challenges into actionable HR solutions to ensure human capital initiatives support operational excellence and drive productivity gains. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and programs that are aligned with operational business goals and objectives.
•    Lead a team of HR professionals, providing guidance, coaching and support to ensure efficient daily operations.    
•    Lead all aspects of talent acquisition for the manufacturing and distribution sites. Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
•    Implement robust onboarding programs to ensure new associates are integrated effectively and become productive members of the team.
•    Conduct proactive workforce planning to address current and future staffing needs, skills gaps and succession planning.
•    Oversee all employee relations activities, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and labor laws.
•    Provide guidance and support to managers, associates and HR team on conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management.
•    Identify training and development needs across all levels of the organization. Design and implement comprehensive training programs, including leadership development, technical skills, and compliance training.
•    Develop programs that enhance associate capabilities, support career progression, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 
•    Manage a robust performance management system that drives accountability and encourages continuous improvement. Provide guidance to managers on setting clear objectives, conducting effective performance reviews, providing constructive feedback, and developing performance improvement plans.
•    Ensure the manufacturing and distribution facility’s HR practices are in full compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO, etc.)
•    Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements and best practices.
•    Manage HR related investigations, audits and reporting requirements.
•    Mitigate HR risks by proactively addressing potential issues and implementing preventative measures.
•    Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payment of associates.
•    Administer and enhance the HR system, Success Factors, to streamline operations, improve associate experience, and drive continuous improvement in technology utilization.
•    Lead organizational development initiatives and guide the organization through periods of change, ensuring smooth transitions and minimum disruption to operations.
•    Work closely with the Director, Corporate Human Resources to ensure alignment between operational execution and company-wide HR strategy. 
•    Collaborate with the Environmental, Health and Safety teams to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
•    Manage workers compensation claims to ensure timely reporting, compliance, associate support and effective resolution.
•    Performs other duties as assigned. 

EXPERIENCE:

 •    A minimum of 10 – 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role specifically within a manufacturing environment. 
•    Proven experience managing HR functions in a plant or multi-site manufacturing setting. 

EDUCATION:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field is required.
•    SHRM-SCP OR SPHR certification preferred.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
•    Ability to travel to facilities, including overnight stays.
