POSITION INFO:
The position is primarily responsible for the management and sales growth of key retail partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively manage existing and new customer relationships.
• Develop customer programs to expand NIBCO's portfolio of products.
• Work with various internal departments to communicate and align customer needs. Work closely with the Director, Retail Sales to develop sales and channel strategies to grow NIBCO's share of wallet, launch new Retail Programs, and enter into new markets.
• Work closely with the Retail Sales Team to develop custom programs, planograms, POP and merchandising solutions to increase retail presence and presentation.
• Engage in channel exploration and development.
• Prepare new item presentations, trade marketing presentations, and business reviews.
• Attend internal and customer meetings as necessary to support NIBCO business initiatives.
• Manage manufacturer representative groups to drive field and headquarter sales initiatives.
• Engage in field activity as needed, including assisting with product merchandising and attending trade shows, up to 50% travel required.
EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 years of Sales Management experience. A proven track record of successful sales and sales management in the hardware co-op or Big Box Retail Channels.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree.
TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong negotiation skills and business acumen. Excellent communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel.
