POSITION INFO:

This position is responsible for general maintenance of the Elkhart Campus and all properties that fall under the Building Services responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Perform all work according to proper OSHA, EPA, and NEC safety standards.
•    General repair and maintenance of mechanical and building equipment.
•    Interact with and support other functional areas within the building.
•    Performs and promotes good housekeeping and reports all unsafe conditions and acts to their supervisor. 
•    Plan and order supplies/equipment as requested.
•    Trained in the use of building maintenance and building automation software.
•    Must be able to be forklift trained.
•    Willing to learn new skills.
•    All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 4 years of general equipment, building HVAC system maintenance and general building maintenance experience required.  Candidates must have the ability to perform equipment maintenance and repair activities as directed.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required. Some college or technical and/or trade school preferred. 

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Must exhibit professional craftsmanship in all areas of assigned responsibilities.  Must have the ability to learn and understand basic electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic concepts.  Successful candidates will have strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills. Supervision skills a plus.  Installing security cameras and programing them and programing variable speed drives a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated heights.
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
Must be able to visually inspect machines.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
