Product Allocation Specialist

POSITION INFO:

Location:  Elkhart, Indiana

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the site’s operational requirements and initiatives.  This position performs all processes and activities that support receiving, stocking, replenishment, order processing, shipping, and inventory control teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Locating and selecting materials
•    Manually stacking product on pallets
•    Soft-wrapping pallets to transport to staging areas
•    Inspecting, counting, and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
•    Stocking and receiving materials
•    Manually lifting cartons weighing up to 50lbs
•    Daily use of powered industrial vehicles (PIVs)
•    Daily use of radio frequency (RF) scanners
•    Coordination with Distribution Managers, Warehouse Administrators, Warehouse Leads or other designated persons to receive work order assignments
•    Ensures safety and compliance procedural policies
•    Standing for extended periods of time
•    Daily use of oral and written communication
•    Daily tasks may include a combination or 100% concentration of these duties
•    Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred experience in distribution and operation of PIV equipment (must be at least 18 years of age to operate)

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Associate should possess knowledge in safety, teamwork and coordination, customer focus, and strategic planning.  This position will also require daily inspection and charging of PIV equipment, as well as light housekeeping.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time, manually lifting cardboard cartons weighing up to 50 pounds, and being elevated on an order picker at heights up to 6 feet.  

Must also be capable of bending, climbing, and/or twisting to move product.  This position will expose the associate to dust, seasonal weather, vibration/motion while operating PIV equipment, blinking/flashing safety lights.
