POSITION INFO:

The System Network Architect works with the IS department to manage, assess, select and deploy technical controls to meet specific infrastructure requirements, and defines processes and standards to ensure that infrastructure is appropriately maintained. This position works within the Service Delivery team will partner with other team members, NIBCO Business leaders, and external partners to develop a model for delivering highly effective infrastructure services that are aligned with NIBCO INC. business requirements. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting advanced technical issues for NIBCO associates as requested. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Collaborating with external partners to develop and implement technology solutions e.g. Kyndryl (IBM Company),
•    Leads, defines and completes complex IS tasks independently. 
•    Leads small to medium sized projects, being accountable for deliverables and expenses.
•    Reports risks, issues, actions, and progress of daily operations and projects. 
•    Coaches and mentors IS tasks and skills to others
•    Applies advanced problem-solving skills and executes solutions to complex problems independently,
•    Identifies opportunities and owns improvements to technologies and IS processes,
•    Develops, implements, and effectively communicates new technologies and I.S. processes,
•    Presents work output in a clear and concise manner, 
 

EXPERIENCE:

•    8+ years of professional IS experience 
•    Applicant must have a solid understanding and technical administration for servers, Azure, Microsoft Office 365 / Exchange, PowerShell tools, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory and group policy
•    Applicant must have solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with routing, site to site VPNs, WAN and LAN circuits
•    Professional certifications, such as ITIL, PMI, CompTIA, Microsoft, CCNA or other information technology credentials, are preferred
•    Experience working with external partners to accomplish technology goals
•    Previous successful technical support experience is required 
 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline.

Applicant should have strong troubleshooting, communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.  Candidate must be able to work in a team environment or as an individual contributor to ensure I.S. customers’ satisfaction.  The successful candidate will have:
 
•    Strong analytical skills to manage and delivery infrastructure requirements
•    Strong reporting and analytical skills
•    In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs and demands to operations, service delivery, and project management controls
•    Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting information technology architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans
•    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
•    Experience working both independently and as part of a team
•    Ability to work with minimal guidance or supervision
•    Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business needs and processes
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities
•    Project management skills; financial/budget management, scheduling, and resource management
