POSITION INFO:
The purpose of this position is to safely direct and support the preparation of molds and components for service and preventative maintenance for injection molding machines that meet quality specifications set both internally and by the customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all work according to work standards and to proper safety standards.
- Change Tooling, cores, stamps etc. in molds
- Perform mold service activities – such as rigging and hoist
- Disassemble, clean and assembly molds, perform connections, use mold set-up sheets; know mold and machine components.
- Test hydraulics, water and electrical connections – replace as needed
- Perform intermediate Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks.
- Perform lockout/tag out process on injection molding machines.
- I.Q. System and generate work orders.
- Safely use mold handling PIV’s.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
- Use mold retrieval system to find and replace mold storage
- Completes mold start up tasks correctly and completes paperwork properly
- Communicates well with associates, work in a positive and professional manner.
- Any job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience successfully operating and maintaining the machinery associated with this particular work area will be most heavily considered when selecting from applicants for this position (experience operating and maintaining any heavy manufacturing equipment, manual and/or automated, will be considered favorable).
EDUCATION:
A High School diploma or GED is required, Full Set of Hand Tools and Tool Box Acquire and maintain PIV license, General Maintenance experiences a plus.
TRAINING AND SKILLS:
- Ability to safely use cleaning tools and supplies.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Safe work practices, compliance with safe policies / procedures

- Ability to safely use shop tools, (both power and hand).
- Ability to safely operate forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings, control diagrams.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Mechanically Inclined.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Regularly required to stand, lift, bend, twist, reach with arms and hands, stoop, crouch.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
