POSITION INFO:

This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the electrical systems for all plant equipment and facility support processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Perform all duties safely, follow all safety guidelines, and proactively participate in plant safety programs
•    Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
•    Assist in the design and building of electrical systems throughout the facility
•    Troubleshoot and repair of all injection molding machines electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components
•    Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
•    Diagnose and repair of all facility equipment electrical components
•    Repair or replace all auxiliary plant equipment
•    Utilize fall-arrest system to perform work at heights greater than 4 feet
•    Arrange workload for optimum efficiency
•    Direct or train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
•    Communicate and cooperate with production to maximize throughput
•    Maintain good housekeeping
•    Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for materials or services.
•    Perform other job-related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

•    Experience with PLC, analog, and digital programming
•    Experience with 3-phase power systems
•    Experience with motors, breakers, starters, relays, ect. 
•    Ability to read technical, electrical, and hydraulic blueprints
•    Good mechanical aptitude 
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Time management skills
•    Hydraulic and pneumatic experience

EDUCATION:

•    High School Diploma or GED
•    2-year technical school or equitable certifications.

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

Ability to troubleshoot and determine the causes of operating errors.

Ability to repair machines of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical failures.

Ability to actively listen in a team focused environment. Use logic and reasoning to identify solutions or alternative solutions to problems.

Ability to effectively communicate to teams and leadership.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

Ability to lift-up to 40 lbs.

Subject to standing, stooping, bending, for extended periods.
