POSITION INFO:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for general housekeeping, regrinding of all sprues and scrap fittings, destroying contaminated fittings and recording weight and reason codes for each. Responsibilities also include cleaning of water quench tanks and unloading of ABS material from railcars.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Grind all fittings and sprues. Record all scrap weights.
•    Must be physically able to climb on top of railcars, surge bins, material silo’s, or machines to correct material problems.
•    Must weigh and record purging and contaminated material/ parts at end of production shift.
•    Pick up all scrap and sprues in production area.
•    Responsible for keeping the grinding pit clean.
•    Clean up oil and sweep production floor at end of production shift.
•    Responsible for cleaning water quench tanks and keeping watch for basement problems that may cause quality and/or production problems.
•    General Housekeeping.
•    Report all safety hazards, unsafe working conditions, abnormal circumstances, accidents or other problems to supervision.
•    Use PIV to transport material as needed. 
•    Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by a supervisor.

EXPERIENCE:

No prior experience required
-    Forklift experience required
 

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED
 

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

  • Work in extreme temperatures up to 110 degrees
  • Subject to standing for extended period
  • Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. or more
