POSITION INFO:

Located in the Stuarts Draft, VA Services group, this position reports to the Plant Services Supervisor and is primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repairs and rebuilding of equipment from the electronics aspect. This individual will support program team members and customers to ensure that goals and objectives are met through effective involvement, contribution, and coordination. Responsible to work with the plant’s service department to improve and maintain the highest performance levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support existing and incoming manufacturing equipment.
•    Maintain technical integrity of the product by sound applications of electrical design principles, creation of design specifications, and material selection.
•    Troubleshoot PLC issues / drive issues. 
•    Develop electrical training manuals per machine and train others as required.
•    Experience with PLC programing, Allen Bradley Controls, SIEMENC Controls experience.
•    Openly communicate project status and issues.

EXPERIENCE:

•    To be considered for this role 7–10 years of on-the-job industrial electrical experience, completion of a career school electrical program, completion of an electrical apprentice program.
•    Experience with robotic controls and vision automation preferred.
•    Experience with ABB, Keyence, Balluff, Delta all preferred.
•    Above average computer skills.
•    Analytical skills.
•    Follows Safety guidelines.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or GED is required along with Completion an electrical apprenticeship, Controls Experience, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Auto CAD.  

TRAINING AND SKILLS:

•    Solid proficiency of electrical automation control systems. (Servo, motion, PLC, HMI, etc.)
•    Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems to maintain uptime or make improvements.
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers.
•    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general engineering drawings, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
•    Ability to work independently or in a project team environment and within a defined deadline.
•    This position may require overnight travel approximately 5% of the time.
•    Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
